Job responsibilities:

1. Process Optimization:

  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize productivity.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline production workflows.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate equipment performance and make adjustments as needed.

2. Quality Assurance:

  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and testing to identify defects and address quality issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve quality-related concerns.

3. Production Planning:

  • Work with production teams to develop production schedules and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate with inventory and procurement departments to ensure materials and resources are available as needed.
  • Adjust production plans to meet changing demand and deadlines.

4. Cost Management:

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in production processes without compromising product quality.
  • Manage and control production budgets effectively.
  • Optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and reduce operational costs.

5. Troubleshooting:

  • Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and operational disruptions.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
  • Provide technical support to production teams during problem-solving.

6. Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness among production staff.
  • Investigate and report safety incidents, implementing corrective actions when necessary.

7. Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed records of production processes, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production efficiency and quality.
  • Update process manuals and documentation as needed.

8. Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, maintenance, and logistics, to address production-related challenges.
  • Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

9. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in production engineering.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall production capabilities.
  • Lead or participate in Kaizen events and other improvement projects.

10. Environmental Responsibility:

  • Promote environmentally sustainable practices within the production processes.
  • Implement and monitor eco-friendly initiatives, such as waste reduction and energy efficiency measures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production engineering or a similar role preferably in the petrochemical, oil & gas, or manufacturing industry..
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
